Pre-Award Financial Officer

Join one of the world’s most prestigious institutions and take your career to the next level! As a Pre-Award Financial Officer, you’ll play a key role in managing the financial lifeline of groundbreaking research projects, from proposal creation to post-award administration.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation, review, and submission of funding proposals for government, industry, and foundation sponsors
• Advise Principal Investigators (PIs) on crafting budgets, developing proposals, and navigating application processes
• Manage awarded grants and contracts, including budgeting, forecasting, and compliance monitoring
• Interpret complex guidelines and ensure adherence to federal, state, and institutional policies (e.g., OMB guidelines)
• Work closely with PIs and project leaders to streamline financial and operational processes

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.)
• 5+ years of grants management experience in nonprofit research administration
• Proficiency with federal contracts, cost principles, and OMB guidelines
• Expertise in budgeting, financial forecasting, and interpreting financial data
• Familiarity with electronic submission portals (e.g., Grants.gov, Research.gov, SciENcv).
• Pre-award experience in a university/hospital/nonprofit setting
