Junior Property Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record monthly property-level income and expenses to ensure accurate NOI reporting
  • Manage fixed asset additions and reconciliations in accordance with GAAP and revenue recognition principles
  • Prepare acquisition entries, disposition entries, and gain/loss calculations per ASU 2017-05
  • Perform variance analysis on operating revenue/expenses quarterly
  • Review and approve property invoices and prepare CAM reconciliations
  • File monthly/quarterly sales tax and municipal property income-related filings
  • Conduct quarterly asset impairment analyses
  • Assist with documenting accounting policies and improving workflows

Required Experience:

  • 1–3 years of accounting experience (internships or full-time)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Excel required

Nice-to-Have Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with commercial real estate accounting
  • Involvement with acquisitions, reconciliations, or asset disposition
  • Background in corporate finance or audit
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, MRI and Sage Fixed Assets
