Hotline Representative (Night Shift, $20/hour)


About the opening:

  • Overnight shifts
  • Pay: $20/hr
  • Part Time shifts
  • Training in Framingham office, then hybrid work arrangement after


Responsibilities:

  • Answer calls from individuals facing mental health issues, crises, suicidal thoughts, and other stressful situations
  • Show extreme empathy and remain non-judgmental to assist callers effectively
  • De-escalate situations with the support of the call site supervisor
  • Be prepared to call 911 on behalf of the caller in emergencies


Requirements:

  • High school degree
  • Experience with data gathering techniques
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, databases, and other software systems
  • Ability to deescalate crisis situations while maintaining composure
  • Must attend training in Framingham, MA
  • Mac (Google Chrome access) or PC, strong Wi-Fi, headphones with microphone compatible with computer
  • Quiet workspace for working from home for remote shifts


Preferred Requirements:

  •  Prior telephone/call-center experience focused on emotional support
