Desktop Support Technician in Needham, MA ($30/hr)

We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide exceptional technical support to our internal customers while utilizing the latest technology. This position offers an hourly rate of $30/hr and requires onsite presence five days a week. As a Desktop Support Technician, you will play a crucial role in delivering the highest level of customer service and ensuring smooth operation of our systems and equipment.


  • Provide excellent customer service to internal users, resolving hardware and software issues promptly and effectively.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software problems, escalating more complex issues to the next tier or team.
  • Take ownership of Tier 1 tickets and actively seek opportunities to enhance technical expertise by working on Tier 2 tickets.
  • Manage the onboarding and offboarding process for user accounts and equipment.
  • Learn to administer at least one corporate system.
  • Gather, organize, and present relevant information to assess and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Set clear expectations with end users and communicate effectively throughout the support process.


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent working experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in IT or Retail Service Desk.
  • Proficiency in corporate desktop technologies including Microsoft Windows Operating systems, Mac OS, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft O365, Jira, Intune/JAMF, endpoint protection tools, basic security, Mobile Device Management, Video Conference Systems, Asset Management, and Workday.
  • Ability to lift objects up to 50lbs.
  • Strong customer service orientation and open to feedback.
  • Growth mentality with a willingness to learn and embrace new challenges.
  • Good time management skills and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
