Accounting Manager (Commercial Real Estate) - $130,000


We are seeking an Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team, offering a compensation package up to $130,000 based on experience, plus a significant bonus of up to 25%. The ideal candidate will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package that includes 100% coverage of health, dental, and vision insurance, alongside excellent 401k and vacation benefits. This position features a flexible hybrid work schedule, with in-office days on Monday and Tuesday, and remote work for the remainder of the week.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee property level expense and revenue monthly to ensure accuracy of the NOI
  • Account for all fixed asset additions according to GAAP and Non-GAAP principles
  • Conduct regular reviews of fixed asset inputs and reconciliations to sub-ledger
  • Manage the preparation and review of quarterly operating revenue and expense variance analyses
  • Handle quarterly asset impairment analysis and tenant CAM reconciliations
  • Coordinate monthly and quarterly tax filings related to sales and property income
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures; manage departmental reporting timelines
  • Supervise and mentor property accountants, fostering a collaborative and proactive work environment


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting
  • At least seven years of accounting experience, preferably in a commercial real estate setting
  • Demonstrated experience managing team members and strong leadership skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel; familiarity with MRI and Sage Fixed Assets is advantageous
  • Excellent organizational skills, able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and adaptability to changing demands
