Fraud Prevention Specialist
A global travel and experiences platform is seeking a Fraud Prevention Specialist to support its trust and safety operations. This remote role involves verifying new customer and operator accounts, investigating suspicious activity, and preventing fraudulent transactions. The position offers an hourly pay rate of $19.00, with opportunities to develop investigative skills and contribute to platform security.
Shift:
- 4:30 PM to 1:00 AM

Responsibilities:
- Verify the legitimacy of new customer and operator accounts
- Investigate suspicious activity using internal tools and customer records
- Assess compliance with policies and make evidence-based decisions
- Monitor account activity for potential fraud or abuse
- Support customers via phone and email, providing clear validation guidance
- Identify patterns indicating risk and suggest process improvements
Required Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of 1 year experience requiring high attention to detail
- Strong research and validation skills
- Ability to analyze, investigate, and make independent decisions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Availability to work weekends
- Capable of working calmly under pressure and managing time effectively
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Prior experience in customer service, fraud investigation, or security
- Familiarity with online payments, banking, or chargeback processes
- Experience with platforms like Stripe, PayPal, or Braintree
- Multilingual skills (e.g., Spanish, French, Portuguese, German, Italian) are advantageous but not required
