Tax Manager – June 2026 start
A Tax Manager position is available at a leading private CPA based just outside of Boston. Our partner is well aware that this is a busy season for Tax professionals and would be willing to have the new hire start after tax season. That said, the company is eager to interview qualified candidates as soon as possible and work with anyone based on their fiscal schedule to coordinate interviews, offers, and a start date that is flexible for the new hire.
Key Details:
- Pay Range: $140,000 to $150,000 base salary
- Bonus Eligible (10%)
- Receive comprehensive health, dental, and 401(k) with matching funds, along with tuition reimbursement
- Hybrid work arrangement
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and review of complex tax returns, including 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120, 1120S, and 990
- Supervise, train, and review the work of junior tax staff
- Advise clients on tax-saving strategies and business planning initiatives
- Stay current on tax law changes and incorporate updates into client services
- Support audit preparations and client interactions
Credentials
- CPA license (or actively pursuing certification)
Required Experience and Skills
- Minimum of 4 years in tax accounting within a CPA firm
- Proven experience reviewing tax filings and leading teams
- Proficiency with CCH Axcess and QuickBooks
- Prior leadership experience in an accounting setting
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
