Senior Executive Administrative Assistant (Higher Education)
This is a great opportunity for a seasoned Executive Assistant / Senior Administrative Assistant who already knows how higher education works such as faculty priorities, academic calendars, committee cycles, and the pace/complexity that comes with supporting senior academic leadership. Ideal candidates will have handled high-volume, high-stakes calendar management for senior faculty and you're comfortable operating with discretion, precision, and strong judgment in a campus setting.

- Title: Executive Assistant / Senior Administrative Assistant
- Location: Cambridge, MA
- Work Arrangement: On-site, Monday-Friday 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
- Pay Rate: $35-$38/hour
Your Impact
You'll serve as a true right-hand partner to senior faculty/academic leadership--owning complex scheduling and administrative execution so your leaders can focus on teaching, research, and institutional priorities. This role requires someone who can anticipate needs, manage competing priorities calmly, and thrive in the culture and norms of a university environment.
- Own complex calendar management (frequent changes, competing priorities, confidential meetings)
- Coordinate internal and external meetings with multiple stakeholders (faculty, staff, students, vendors, visiting speakers, committees)
- Draft and proofread professional communication; manage correspondence with discretion
- Maintain organized documentation and systems (files, shared drives, databases/tools as applicable)
Required Qualifications

- At least 4 years in a higher education environment (as your professional setting)
- Demonstrated complex calendar management experience supporting senior faculty/leadership (multi-party scheduling, frequent changes, high attention to detail)
- Familiarity with committee-driven work and academic processes (events, programs, visiting lecturer logistics, etc.)
Candidates applying without this meaningful higher education experience likely won't be the right match.
