A global investment management firm is hiring a Client Billing Associate to support a high volume billing function across invoicing, revenue reporting, and cash application. This role is ideal for someone who is detail oriented, curious, and eager to build stronger analytical and risk management skills at a world leading asset management firm. 

Key details

  • Location: Newport Beach, CA.
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid 4 days on-site / 1 remote day per week
  • Pay: $35/hour
  • Job Type: Contract

Responsibilities

  • Produce fixed and incentive fee invoices in line with client agreements and internal standards
  • Deliver monthly revenue calculations to support general ledger reporting under tight deadlines
  • Perform variance analysis on accruals and escalate outliers and exceptions
  • Prepare clear, audit ready support for second level review
  • Execute billing controls and follow policies and regulatory requirements
  • Validate outputs using structured checks, investigate anomalies, and support root cause analysis
  • Build working knowledge of fee structures, billing inputs, and system outputs
  • Identify process gaps and support improvements and automation efforts
  • Partner with Legal, Account Management, and Finance to resolve billing issues
  • Respond to billing inquiries with accuracy and professionalism
  • Collaborate with the team to meet deadlines, support onboarding, and apply feedback to improve performance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable, accounting, or financial operations preferred
  • Strong accounting fundamentals and basic understanding of investment management concepts
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Comfort using technology and AI tools such as Alteryx, Python, Copilot, or similar to streamline work
