Portfolio Accountant
Key Information:
- Salary: $85,000–$95,000 plus a 10% bonus
- Benefits Include: Healthcare, dental, vision, and 401(k)
- Hybrid work schedule based in Boston, MA
- 2 - 3 years of accounting experience within public accounting
- CPA or actively pursuing CPA
- Strong Excel skills and Yardi experience
- Excellent organization, communication, and attention to detail
This is a great opportunity for a Property Accountant, or either an Assurance Associate or Accountant within public accounting. A large, growing real estate investment firm is adding a Portfolio Accountant to expand the Investor Accounting team. This role supports the monthly, quarterly, and annual close and plays a key part in delivering accurate reporting that supports real estate investment operations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and support recurring financial reporting for real estate assets (monthly/quarterly/annual).
- Review financial packages from third-party property managers for accuracy and compliance.
- Analyze property performance, including rent income, operating expenses, and cash flow trends.
- Partner with asset management to review results and projections.
- Assist with close deliverables including financial statements, debt reporting, and investor reporting.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax partners to meet reporting deadlines.
- Support ad hoc accounting needs (management fee calculations, bank activity, investment entries, and related items).
