One of the world's leading real estate investment advisors is hiring a Fund Controller to lead fund accounting and reporting for a high net worth real estate portfolio. This is a high visibility role partnering closely with senior leadership while managing and developing a small fund accounting team.

Key Details
* Work arrangement Hybrid, typically 3 to 4 days in office per week based in Boston, MA
* Compensation Range between $150,000 - 175,000 base plus 30-40% bonus target

Responsibilities
* Review and oversee monthly and quarterly accounting, financial reporting, and performance reporting to meet investor and client needs
* Prepare and review capital call and distribution notices, quarterly investor statements, and ad hoc investor requests
* Own and drive budgeting and forecasting cycles, including variance analysis and presenting insights to stakeholders
* Coordinate annual audit and tax reporting deliverables and serve as a primary point of contact for auditors and tax partners
* Support acquisition and disposition activity, including due diligence support and closing statement review
* Build strong working relationships across Finance, Portfolio Management, Asset Management, and Acquisitions, plus joint venture partners
* Manage core cash and treasury activities as needed, including oversight of wires and monitoring banking activity with appropriate controls
* Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members while improving processes, timelines, and quality

Credentials Needed
* CPA
* Master's degree a plus
* Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

Required Qualifications
* Significant hands on experience in accounting leadership, ideally within asset management, real estate, private equity, or fund environments
* Proven experience preparing and reviewing investor facing reporting packages, budgets, forecasts, and audit support
* Experience partnering cross functionally with investment, asset management, and acquisitions teams
* Strong Excel skills and comfort working with accounting systems and reporting tools
* Ability to lead deadlines, set priorities, and drive high quality deliverables in a fast paced environment

Preferred Qualifications
* Real estate focused fund accounting exposure (fund level reporting, capital activity, investor statements)
* Familiarity with Yardi and similar platforms used in real estate finance environments
* Prior experience supervising or mentoring accountants and elevating team performance through coaching and process improvement
