Your voice could be someone's turning point. Be there when people need support most. As a Mental Health Helpline Advocate, you'll provide compassionate, immediate support to people experiencing emotional distress or suicidal thoughts, listen without judgment, and connect callers with the resources and help they need.

Research highlighted by WBUR found that suicide deaths among people ages 15-34 were 11% below projected trends in the two-and-a-half years after the launch of 988, with researchers estimating 4,372 fewer deaths than expected. The findings are suggestive--not proof of causation--but underscore the potential impact of accessible crisis support.
