Financial Aid Counselor ($60,000-70,000 + benefits)

This position will provide exceptional customer service to students, parents, sponsors, staff, and faculty. The Financial Aid Counselor will review and explain student accounts, counsel on payment options, and handle inquiries.


Key Highlights:

  • Pay of $60,000 - $70,000 and competitive benefits
  • Hybrid work schedule (2 days in office, 3 days remote)

Responsibilities:

  • Manage student caseload and reconcile accounts
  • Perform audits, handle adjustments, and counsel on payment options
  • Respond to inquiries and provide timely information
  • Initiate pre-collection protocol and coordinate with other departments
  • Represent the office at events and serve on committees
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards
  • Perform additional duties as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Financial services experience as it relates to FAFSA
  • Experience with Ellucian Banner
  • Ability to work a Hybrid schedule based in Boston, MA
